Standing on my treadmill, contemplating what to write,
An email came to me from far away,
In response to my expression, of amazement and delight,
It helped me know just what I needed now to say;
My old friend Allan, a music genius, with whom I’ve worked for 20 years,
Returned the blessings given him, right back to me,
He gave me credit for his magic, which brought my thankful heart to tears,
And so reminded me of the truth my spirit sees;
“Our Love Will Find A Way,” the song we’re working on together,
Became the vision of my soul, with Allan’s tracks,
His Latin vibe, his great percussion, his keyboard tracks, his Spanish leather;
Instilled the need to smile and dance, his beat distracts;
He said to me, “Why thank you Sir,” in his Venezuelan way,
And this, a man who works on Spielberg films and such,
He said that every action, in turn creates a like reaction,
He said that I inspired his work, too much,
He said that I inspired his work, too much.
