Within our true self we will always have what we need to do what needs to be done.
Growing up as an ostensible weirdo, I somehow realized by the age of eight that I was part of something much bigger than me — something that connected me with plants, animals, natural elements, and the cosmos — something possessing a maternal conscious presence with the power to create and transmute things in the physical world. Along with this awareness came the ability to sense subtle etheric beings, commune with plants and animals, influence the elements of wind, water, earth, and fire; and consciously co-create virtually anything through the connection between my spirit and the Great Spirit — my Universal Mother.
I somehow knew that She was the Universe and that She also gave birth to everything in it — including our physical world — Which is simply a set of three dimensional training holograms in the curriculum for the soul (like the holodeck of Star Trek Next Generation). I knew that who we are as humans is not who we really are, and the physical world is not our real home. I saw that most believe that being human is who and what they are — getting lost in the lesson — and failing to realize that their spirit is their true self, and the Universe their real home. Understanding this changes everything — allowing us to live in truth instead of the illusion of our material world hologram.
Our True Self
So, in order to move more deeply into the conscious realization of who we really are, which will fit like our favorite pair of jeans if we let it; let’s take a look at plant consciousness, the human energy system, and the human ego.
Plant Consciousness: Plants exist to transmute light into life. Human beings exist to transmute life into consciousness, love. These three–light, life and love–are one, each an expression of the other, three dimensions of the same existence. The consciousness of light and life is perceived as spiritual truth — spiritual love — by those who are able to see it. There are many forms of love, the highest of which is the divine synchronicity of a soulmate connection. True love is the highest vibration, highest priority, and highest purpose — allowing us to make the greatest difference in our own lives, the lives of others, and the deeper awakening of the Universe.
So real love perceived and shared by humans is the awareness of this spiritual truth consciously flowing first from our soul into our spirit via life force energy, then into our heart, then our mind, and finally our body. So if we are blessed to discover it in this lifetime, we will find that it is already there — fully formed — and all we need to do to share it is accept it as a gift from our Universal Mother. And sharing such a love will maximize our potential for growth, self realization, and the fulfillment of our life’s purpose through its oneness with light and life (relationships take time to develop, but this love comes fully formed and is psychedelically undeniable). But I digress … … or do I???
Plants transmute light into life through photosynthesis. The human being transmutes life into consciousness through perception. The human being is the plant of consciousness. The plant, which effects a similar process on a “lower level” of evolution, feeds our mind and nervous system to help in this process. As below, so above; all the universe is a metamorphosis of light. Awareness of truth is required for human perception to transmute life into consciousness. Connecting to the Universe through our spirit gives us access to this truth. Truth is the highest vibration, and therefore the highest authority. Love is the highest form of truth.
Human Energy System: Through the flow of life force energy into our human energy system we are connected, via our spirit, to our soul and the broader Universe. Our spirit is the extension of our soul that enters our human energy system, and our soul is a wave on the sea of Universal consciousness. So, our soul has both its own separate form and is also part of the broader universe (like a wave on the ocean), and our spirit connects our human energy system with our soul — giving us direct access to Universal consciousness — if the frequency of our own conscious vibration is high enough to perceive it. To learn more about this from an Ayurvedic perspective, as it relates to prana, the astral body, and the chakra system; you might want to read “Seven Colors of Conscious Creation.”
Human Ego: The human ego — the voice in our head — does its best to keep us from discovering our true self with its well-camouflaged arsenal of fear-based issues and defenses. When we recognize who we really are, it loses its power over us. When we stop paying attention to our thoughts, the cause of all suffering, and shift our focus to the spiritual awareness of truth, our false self will disappear, and we will find ourselves in the ease and naturalness of our true self; within the conscious light, life, and love of our spirit. Fears
Sometimes we are afraid to face the fears and make the changes we were created to make in order to receive the benefits we are being offered in this life. This can keep us from discovering our true self, which prevents us from recognizing our true purpose and true love. Facing fears of change — by understanding that such fears are a completely unfounded illusion — will help us rise above these egoic illusions and find our true self and real home — our spirit and the Universe, respectively. And when we find them, we are naturally and completely transformed. It changes everything — our perspective, our priorities, our ability to accept what life brings us without resistance, our mental and physical health, our ability to know who we really are, our ability to identify and fulfill our intended purpose, and our ability to give and receive real love.
How To Do It
A natural way to face our fears and find out who we really are is to consciously accept the truth of our lives, allow this truth to be our guide, and make whatever changes we need to make in order to be healthy, happy, and responsible regardless of ego illusions. Since the sensation of fear, in the absence of a real threat, is an ego illusion tied to issues like inadequacy (fears of failure, unworthiness, or disapproval), rejection (fears of rejection or abandonment), victimization (fears of being mistreated or abused), control (fears of losing control or of being controlled by others), weakness (fears of not having the strength to do what needs to be done), or trust (fears of being lied to or taken advantage of); if we focus on the simple truth — that our fears are unfounded emotions generated by our ego issues, and then courageously face and walk through them; we will find that there was nothing there to be afraid of. The perception of fear was an illusion generated by our ego to help it maintain control over us. Within our true self we will always have what we need to do what needs to be done. An excellent book for this is “Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway” by Susan Jeffers, Ph.D.
By letting go of our fears, raising our vibration above that of our egoic mind, and connecting through our spirit to our true self; we will free ourselves from the limitations created by the human mind, its ego issues, and its insanity (insanity here could simply be understood as illusion — or untruth). Getting there is a little bit like giving a speech if we fear this, or asking somebody out if this scares the shit out of us, or holding a snake if we have a phobia of them. It may take practice to overcome the egoic conditioning, but each time we do it — or each step we take toward making that needed change — the more fully we will realize that we can do it and that there is nothing to fear. We will see that our fears are irrational beliefs that have been holding us back. Each time we do it, or each step we take toward change, we will feel more empowered, less afraid, and more motivated to keep going — as with the practice of giving a speech, asking her out, or holding that sweet rosy boa. If we are fortunate enough to have someone we really love and trust in our lives — someone who sees the things in us that we are still doubting — then they can serve in a strengthening role as we challenge and face our fears. Let them help — it will make them feel just as awesome as it makes us feel!
Not only will this free us from our fears, and help us discover who we really are; but it will also improve our spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical health. It will help us understand what our needs really are, and how to genuinely satisfy them. It will help us learn how to be truly happy. It will remove stress, anxiety, and depression from our lives. It will make it possible for us to give and receive real love.
So we might as well let the naturalness of spirit help us overcome our fears and discover who we really are, right? What do we have to lose anyway? And what do we have to gain? We already know exactly what it’s like to be where we are right now — living in these fears — so could it really be worse to challenge the fears and rise above them? Not likely, because they are unfounded anyway. It might be more comfortable right now, because we’re so familiar with where we are — but come on, do we really want to stay stuck in an unfulfilling or destructive place indefinitely? Would it really be worse? Put it to the test, and I’ll help you if you want.
