The stronger our connection with universal consciousness, the closer we are to freedom from material world illusion. The human equivalent of this spiritual liberation process, paralleling its cosmic corollary, is the relational sharing of heart-centered love. “The closer I’m bound in love to you, the closer I am to free,” Indigo Girls. Although this love has a purely spiritual origin, it also blossoms through us physically, radiating the light of truth and love outwardly into the human world. The stronger our bond of heart-centered love, the closer we are to the truth of our spirits, the beauty of our union, and through love’s vibratory elevation our oneness with the universe (all forms of freedom from material world limitations). Deriving from the truth of our spirit, this love is our highest physical vibration, and supercharges our link to universal consciousness. So it is the ultimate human experience, and a catalyzing bridge to higher consciousness!
Finding The Love That Binds Us Free
All of us have connected to another with second chakra energy. We feel the high of being with the person and we can’t wait to take the relationship sexual. This is a purely human energy center that moves in a straight line, we meet, we have sex and we are now in a relationship. These relationships are intense and feel like the real deal until about six months to a year later when we begin to see things about the person we didn’t notice because we were literally high on endorphins. Second chakra energy is only about connecting (period). It is NOT about love. Often times in second chakra relationships we continue to move in a straight line even when we notice things aren’t working out. We met, had sex, have a relationship so now we must marry and have kids. Love hasn’t entered the picture at all. So when things begin to fall apart, we begin to attempt to change our partners and the battle begins. Many people call this love and settle for these types of relationships as love.
Real love is found two chakras up the chakra system in the fourth Chakra the heart. The heart is a purely spiritual chakra. The energy of the heart moves in spirals. It’s full of twists and turns. The heart says, I want to get to know you, that takes time and in that time I’m going to see you and decide if I can accept you just as you are, if I can, I will move a bit closer to you and see what I sense from that point of view. The circle dance begins and our energies begin to evolve around one another. As we circle things shift and change and if we can stay connected through these challenges, we know that there is love between us. This is heart-centered love — the love that binds us free.
Three Parts of One
A healthy relationship involves three parts: both people as individuals and the couple as a unit. Some believe that if we give ourselves completely, we lose ourselves in the process. But if we give until we have nothing left to lose, then we have everything to gain. When we give this gift of vulnerability to each other, while sharing a real love connection, it strengthens all three parts of our relationship. Such vulnerability creates synergizing harmony, when expressed from within a Fourth Chakra relationship, filled with love, openness, honesty, joyfulness, and peaceful acceptance. All three parts flow with the naturalness of sunshine, and as one is inspired, blessed, or somehow benefits from something; they all do. If Beccah feels joyful after reading the sweet poem Rhonan wrote her, then so do Rhonan and the relationship. If Rhonan beams with loving ebullience when hearing Beccah’s melodic voice, then so do Beccah and their union. If the relationship strengthens because of their commitment to it, then both Beccah and Rhonan benefit from this too. Because they share real love, if one benefits, they all benefit.
The Closer I Am To Free
So as I write these words to you, my heart is spiraling in and around the stars in search of a partner for that sacred circle dance. It has been trampled by a number of imposters, taking the swirling light of my love and turning it around at me as if it were their own. Those who mirror our coiling luminescence, who reflect back at us what is really ours, may trick us into seeing our own light as theirs. And, like my friend Heather says, “Romantics like you are vulnerable because you see the light in everything.” Whether from mistaking our own love as theirs, or simply seeing the light in everything, we may believe that others love us when they don’t. By focusing on their spirit, which is where both light and love originate, we might not notice the darkness of their human personality. Another way of looking at this is that, if we are focusing on the truth of spirit, and perceiving things at this higher vibrational level, then we will be unaware of the lower vibrational things occurring all around us. But if we don’t see the darkness because we are focused on the light, and the shadows surprise us with heartbreak, disappointment, or loss; then we can maintain our higher perspective and focus on accepting what has occurred, and finding the spiritual opportunities in these unexpected things.
Our ability to accept what has happened and let go of our initial expectations is paramount when dealing with such unforeseen changes in our plans. We have a tendency to get stuck in our heads, clinging to an idea of how we think life should go, and we can have a hard time accepting anything that doesn’t line up with that idea. The truth is that life is unpredictable. The business trip you thought you were taking, that was cancelled while you were in route — actually landed you at the airport two days earlier than planned so you could meet the love of your life.
