Keeping most of ourselves in spirit makes it easier to maintain a perspective of higher consciousness when faced with challenging life situations. As a sensitive soul living primarily in spirit, a shaman allowing at most 10% of myself to enter the material world at any given time (in order to connect enough to fulfill my purpose), I determine what is real based on the truth of spiritual awareness, rather than the instability of material world illusion. This is where truth exists (in spirit), and where it will continue to exist after our human lives have ended. Some life situations, like true romantic love, are aided more than others by our ability to balance our perspective in this way. When we give someone the gift of our vulnerability in love, we are the most susceptible we could be to the tumultuous surges of emotion, insecurities, and frailties possible within the human condition. Although we could not really love without offering this amazing gift, doing so could place our material world stability in the hands of someone else. This is another good reason to keep as much of ourselves anchored in our true nature, or spirit, as we are able to. When we do, then even when we are caught in the throws of emotional vulnerability, we still have the balancing perspective of spirit to help us hold on to the truth of who we are and what we know. We can feel the feelings, but still know the truth. We can delight in the rushes of emotion, without losing sight of higher consciousness. To me, this represents the optimal balance of being deeply in love, while maintaining a state of higher consciousness. The awareness of spirit, while cascading through such human waterfalls, can make it possible for us to hold on to this broader perspective in real time (and gain its balancing benefits).
Just Keep Moving Forward
I developed a mantra, of sorts, to help me remain rooted in spiritual awareness, and keep me from getting sucked into the landslides of human emotion that can occur when we are vulnerable in love. My mantra is “Just keep moving forward based on how things are, regardless of how they might seem.” If I start spiraling downward into an emotional tailspin, I just start saying this out loud, and it immediately brings me back to a spiritual perspective, provides the needed balance, and returns me to the spiritual awareness of love, joy, and peace. I can access the truth and hold on to it, regardless of what the other person may say or do. You may want to develop your own mantra to help in such situations (or you are welcomed to borrow mine if you like).
The truth of our spirit is stable, unlike human conditions. Whatever, in truth, it is, it will continue to be. This enduring truth is what we want to believe in, focus on, and move forward based upon. Anything else is material world illusion. When we do this, regardless of what may happen in the human world, we will be investing in the eternal truth of spirit. This will always generate the highest vibration, and optimize our health, happiness, and the conscious co-creation of our dreams.
Evidence: Our Love Will Find A Way — A Developing Song
From last week’s studio silence emerges the foundation of a song. As a singer-songwriter and poet, as well as alternative healer and shaman; many of my beliefs are reflected in my Creative Works. Since music is the language of spirit, the apothecary’s remedy for congestion of the soul; painting living watercolors within the galleries of our lives; its beauty, truth, and magic can raise or lower our conscious vibration. With every post I publish, I include one of my original songs that somehow highlights or reinforces important points within the post. Today I am offering the rough mix of a new song that is only partially completed, as it clearly portrays the essence of this post. I also want to share it with you so you can accompany me along the path toward its completion (which, for me, is a super-exciting process). So far, it features me on 12-string acoustic and scratch vocals (rough vocals, intended to guide the other players); Allan Phillips on percussion and keys, Brian Crist on bass, and Michael Surprenant on drums. I will soon be adding real vocals, background vocals, lead guitar, and other melodic accents. But this song speaks directly to this post: “Just keep moving forward based on how things are, regardless of how they might seem.” In case you didn’t notice, the track is waiting for you over there in the audio player, and here is a link to the lyrics: Our Love Will Find A Way. Notice the Santana vibe? I am working with his agent to incorporate the power, magic, and influence of his guitar work into the track. I hope you enjoy! Your feedback is welcomed! Have an awesome day! 🙂
