As belletristic ballads, mellifluous melodies, and winsome watercolors indelibly reflect love’s joy and radiance; so too love is tattooed on our hearts eternally. No matter what people may say, no matter what they may do, they can’t take our love away. They can call us names, accuse us of crazy things, and threaten our very freedom; but they can’t take our love away. They can use us, abuse us, and then throw us away like rubbish; but they can’t take our love away. It is ours to hold, ours to keep, ours to know and nurture; it is ours to live and give and understand. It is ours to name, ours to feel, ours to share and shelter; it is ours to see and be and countermand.
Letting Go is not Losing Love
Love transcends all circumstance, with people and relationships, regardless of its physical dimension; and if we need to let them go, then we should know, that love lives on, no matter what our manifest intention. We don’t want to mistake the ending of a human relationship, whether temporary or enduring, for the loss of the love we share. It is still there. It is still beautiful, wonderful, and deliciously inspiring; it is love, it is our love, it is God’s love, it is one great love. When we are blessed to share it with another, whether for a moment or a lifetime, it is a gift and a reflection of the truth. It is to be Treasured, cherished, and learned from. It is to be given freely, unconditionally, and graciously. It is to be patient, kind, and forgiving. It is for listening, laughing, and living.
One Great Love
Allowing love to flow through us is letting universal consciousness, like a master artist, paint the beauty of creation through our presence. Taking many forms, and expressed through a variety of genres, love can foster beauty, truth, and conscious co-creation. Since there is only one great love, and since it exists whether we manifest it or not; it cannot be destroyed, removed, or otherwise taken away. It is always there, no matter come what may. In human form, we are blessed to share love in so many different ways; through the rhapsodic radiance of romantic rhythms shared with a soul mate; the inexplicable, protective love for a child; our caring commitment to our family of friends; our mindful devotion to earth elements and all sentient beings; our deep appreciation for the arts; and so much more! Life is so much fun, when love defines it!
So if it seems like love was taken away from us, it was not. It cannot be. Its material world manner of expression may have changed, but it lives on within us. If we accept this, transcend our ego attachments, and shine its glorious beauty in every way; then we will reach a higher love and truth today.
