I Am Thankful

I am thankful for the sea, the wind, the sun; their waves and whispers;
I am thankful for their parallels within;
I am thankful for the universe, cosmic gales, the stars and planets;
I am thankful for beginning it again;
I am thankful for her gentle, sweet, and sexy disposition;
I am thankful for the sparks that kindle me;
I am thankful for her sunshine, warmth, and lighthouse when its stormy;
I am thankful for her eyes, through which I see;
I am thankful for abundance, flowing from my thoughts and murmurs;
I am thankful for the force of life we breathe;
I am thankful for the conscious infinite light of all creation;
I am thankful that this light is you and me;
I am thankful for a mansion by the sea in sweet Hawaii;
I am thankful for her gardens and her grains;
I am thankful for her flowers, fruits, her healing herbs and spices;
I am thankful for her rock walls and her rains.
I am thankful for the music in my hands, my heart, my longing;
I am thankful for the poetry within;
I am thankful for the belletristic rhythms of your scribbles;
I am thankful you are reading me again;
I am thankful for my sweet angelic mother’s grace and goodness;
I am thankful for my father’s gentle style;
I am thankful for the lessons learned through trauma, loss, and torture;
I am thankful that my face still wears a smile.
