With sufficient spiritual awareness we can consciously co-create the substance of our dreams. After opening the curtains of our mind, allowing the light of our spirit to shine through its welcoming window, we will find that both its shadow and its light possess the keys. Its light reveals the truth, and its shadow hides what needs to be discovered. As its luminous radiance shines through, shadows are formed by the protruding distractions of our negative thoughts and emotions (e.g. thoughts of looking like a failure, being selfish, or being disloyal and emotions of fear, stress, or guilt), along with our unresolved personality issues (e.g. inadequacy, rejection, trust, unfairness). Shadows may also be formed by egoic signs directing us away from those hopes and dreams we are not giving ourselves permission to pursue (e.g. a fulfilling relationship). When the light shines on them, temporarily forming shadows behind or around them, their truth is hidden from view (in the shadow) until we remove or rise above them. Once removed, the light of truth will again reveal what the shadows had concealed. And when we rise above these distractions (negative thoughts, emotions, and issues; and deterrents to our hopes and dreams) by attaining higher consciousness, even before the distractions have been removed; the higher light above them will make the shadows go away, and can reveal the truth while the distractions dance and play (if the sun is directly above a fear or issue, then it will stand revealed, rather than hidden, since the overhead light, at least temporarily, removes the shadow).
Shadow Equals Lack Of Awareness
In this post, shadow refers to that part of our true nature, or spirit, that we are consciously unaware of, at least while the shadows exist. This suggests that some of the things hidden in our shadows are also sometimes visible in the light, where we may see them clearly, and then lose sight of them again when our distractions are triggered. If we access our spiritual awareness intermittantly, rather than continuously, then this may be a commonly occurring phenomenon in our lives.
The Scope of Our Spiritual Awareness
If we think of our spirit, or true nature, as a large screen upon which the light of awareness is transmitted, like the beam of light from a projector in a theater, the size of the circle of light on the screen will vary based on how far away the projector is from the screen. For example, if it is directly in front of the screen, the circle of light will be tiny, but if it is moved up and back it will soon illuminate the entire screen. Higher consciousness, or a broader perspective, will illuminate more of the truth of our spirit. And for many, this is a dynamic process, within which they sometimes access their spiritual awareness, and then may lose sight of it when triggered into negative thoughts and emotions, or unresolved issues (like dynamically moving closer to and further away from the screen). When this occurs (triggering out of spiritual awareness), the first priority should always be to do whatever is necessary to regain its truth, clarity, and perspective. Otherwise, everything in life will seem different, and we may regress to mind-based belief systems, and then make decisions, or take directions that lead us back to a life formed from our unhealthy distractions. And we may even feel self-righteously justified in doing so, since we would no longer have access to the broader perspective of our spiritual awareness, and would be operating solely based on the limitations of the material world mind. This could cause us to turn against those things we value most, while investing in the things that bring us down, hold us back, or drown our dreams.
Lizard Medicine deals with the shadow side of truth, where our dreams are reviewed before we decide to create their realization. Lizard is the medicine of dreamers. Dreamers can always help us see our shadow. “This shadow can be your fears, your hopes, or the very thing you are resisting, but it is always following you around like an obedient dog.” When we look inside the shadows trailing behind us, we will often find our fears of change, our future trying to catch up with us, or that part of us that is trying to avoid becoming emotionally vulnerable to love. Lizard medicine says nightmares represent inner conflict. It recommends that we identify the feelings generated by the nightmares, breathe these feelings out of our body, and find the truth in what the nightmares represent. Lizard says that nightmares can also indicate that we have a lack of fulfilling dreams for our future — dreams that reflect the true nature of our spirit, as revealed to us by the Great Spirit. Accepting the truth of our spiritual awareness will reveal our distractions, remove their shadows, and lead to the conscious co-creation of our dreams (co-created by our spirit and the Great Spirit).
According to quantum consciousness, the pure wisdom of supreme unified consciousness pervades the universe, involving, informing, and interconnecting all people, places, and things. It is the underlying, subatomic substance from which all thought, energy, and matter are formed. This pure wisdom is every-thing, every-where, every-when, in every size, and every dimension. From this perspective, conscious awareness within an individual is a series of ripples on the universal pond of supreme unified consciousness. Infinite pools of coexisting possibilities offer unlimited options pursuant to every-thing, every-where, and every-when (micro and macro, above and below). When our consciousness is elevated high enough, we can intentionally select our dreams from within the infinite pools of coexisting possibilities, rather than randomly receiving one of its quantum wave functions. In other words, when our consciousness is high enough, we can see and intentionally choose our dreams from an infinite sea of options, rather than being the unsuspecting recipient of a random or undesired outcome. When doing this, we are co-creating our dreams directly with the universe. To achieve this we must maintain a spiritual perspective, elevate our consciousness until perceiving universal truth, intensely focus our belief-based attention on our desired dreams, and continue investing in them until they materialize. Since truth vibrates at the highest frequency, above love, joy, and peace; when we are co-creating our dreams in this way, the highest purpose is always being served. The greatest love is always being given. The greatest good is always being done. When we are co-creating our dreams from the truth of our spiritual awareness, we can trust, believe, and have faith in the perfection of our choices. Even when we cannot yet see how everything will unfold, we can know that it will happen the way it was intended to. We can trust in our spirit and the universe.
So when it comes to reviewing our dreams, and the shadows that may hide them, we can seek the wisdom of Lizard Medicine to better understand. We can then combine Lizard Medicine with quantum consciousness to consciously co-create the substance of our dreams.
